Some important information about our periodic inspections

Periodic inspections are only carried out by our licensed technicians because we take the safety concerns of our Rewards Program members seriously.


Our inspections involve a thorough 4 step process:

STEP 1

Your allocated service technician will walk through your home and conduct a systematic safety check. They will assess your plumbing system to make sure all gas and water valves will operate in case of an emergency situation. You will also be shown the location of your emergency shut off valve and emergency gas shut off, so that you will be fully prepared should an emergency arise.

STEP 2

Your service technician will check the temperature relief valve on your thermostat to make sure it is set at the correct temperature, and is free of corrosion for safe operation.


Electric thermostats will be checked for correct temperature settings, and whether water heater operation is functioning at its peak efficiency – as per manufacturer specifications.

STEP 3

Your Killara Plumbing technician will check the operation of your taps and toilets.


Toilet bowls and cisterns are examined for any leaks and proper flushing functions.


Water pressure mains are also reviewed, to ensure there is no risk of any equipment damage due to high water pressure.

STEP 4

A camera inspection of your main sewer line may also be carried out by a drain technician if required. This is usually performed from an accessible inspection point, and is undertaken to check the condition of your sewer system.
